Tempers Flare at Daytona 500 Qualifying

Pole Qualifying for the 2015 Daytona 500 did not go well for driver Clint Boyer. His car can be seen above after a wreck with Reed Sorenson.

Sorenson tried to block Boyer so he could have a faster lap and hopefully race his way into the Daytona. Sorenson is not a lock to make the Daytona. In fact, Sorenson said after the wreck that he may not have another car for the week.

As for Boyer, he took his anger out on NASCAR. Boyer blamed NASCAR for the wreck. Boyer believes that the format of the pole qualifying caused the wreck because desperate drivers do desperate things.

Seeing a driver directly call out NASCAR is refreshing and satisfying for most enthusiasts. Keep an eye on this as the week goes on to see if Boyer faces any type of fine from NASCAR.
