2015 NFL Mock Draft: Pre-Combine

This is the first ever official NFL Mock Draft done by JKSN. Please remember that this is a mock draft, not a big board. These are not player rankings and we do not project trades. With that said, here is our mock draft!

Bret: In the NFL, talent generally outweighs character and I believe Jameis has superior talent when compared to Marcus Mariota. It is undoubtedly a risk to take a guy with as many serious off-field questions as Jameis, but I believe he's the pick here for the Bucs.

2. Titans- Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska

Josh: Gregory would provide the Titans with an upgrade in the pass rush department and could be a star player for years to come.

3. Jaguars- Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa

Bret: Both Leonard Williams and Shane Ray would make sense here, but the Jags offensive line gave up a woeful 71 sacks this past season and if they want Blake Bortles to have any chance of developing, they need to improve their line and Scherff would fill a significant need.

Josh: Leonard Williams is tempting here, but the Raiders want to get Derek Carr a new toy and a legit number one weapon.

5. Redskins- Leonard Williams, DT, USC

Bret: Williams would fit well in Washington's 3-4 system and will be more valuable than an edge rusher.

6. Jets- Dante Fowler, OLB, Florida

Josh: Bowles will be looking to add some defensive pieces of his own and it will start with Dante Fowler. He will take over for the aging Calvin Pace who is 34 years old and doesn't have a lot left in the tank.

7. Bears- Shane Ray, DE, Missouri

Bret: The Bears need a lot of help on the defensive side of the ball and Ray is the best value for the Bears at this point. Danny Shelton or Landon Collins would make sense here as well.

8. Falcons- Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson

Josh: The Falcons desperately need pass rushers and after taking Jake Matthews last year with their top pick, they'll fill their pass rushing need this year with Vic Beasley.

9. Giants- La'el Collins, OT, LSU

Bret: Quite simply, the Giants need to improve their offensive line to become more consistent on offense and Collins is the best available for them to select.

10. Rams- Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

Josh: After abysmal quarterback play in the 2014 season, the Rams will try to finally move on from the oft-injured Sam Bradford.

11. Vikings- Devante Parker, WR, Louisville

Bret: Parker comes to Minnesota and pairs up with his college QB, Teddy Bridgewater, and gives Bridgewater a bigger target than Cordarrelle Patterson.

12. Browns- Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

Josh: With Josh Gordon's future in question, the Browns desperately need an offensive weapon on the outside and White will fill that need. He has a rare skill set that will allow him to do great things in the NFL.

13. Saints- Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford

Bret: Having a productive offensive line allows Drew Brees to do his job at an extremely high level, and with that being said, Peat is the pick here.

14. Dolphins- Malcom Brown, DT, Texas

Josh: Brown would elevate an already pretty good defensive unit to the next level for the Dolphins.

15. 49ers- Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

Bret: With Michael Crabtree set to be a free agent and Anquan Boldin only getting older, the Niners will nab the sure-handed Strong.

16. Texans- Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

Josh: The Texans will enter the 2015 season with many questions in their secondary. Waynes will be a good start to fix the problems that the Texans have.

17. Chargers- Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State

Bret: Goldman's best asset is stopping the run and that's how he would be used in the Chargers 3-4 system.

18. Chiefs- Landon Collins, SS, Alabama

Josh: With the unfortunate and upsetting absence of Eric Berry from the team, the Chiefs will need a replacement safety for the 2015 season. Collins will be a great safety for years to come and will be a great fit for what the Chiefs like to do defensively.

Bret: As Josh pointed out, offensive weapons are lacking in Cleveland, but Clemmings will bolster an already solid offensive line.

20. Eagles- P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State

Josh: It's no secret that the Eagles desparately need corner help. Williams is a fast and physical corner that fits the style that Chip Kelly and Billy Davis want. He also plays tough in the run game which is also something that Kelly will love.

21. Bengals- Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon

Bret: The Bengals ranked dead last in sacks this past season and Armstead, at 6-7, 285 pounds, has an ability to convert speed to power. He's also an exceptional run defender.

22. Steelers- Marcus Peters, CB, Washington

Josh: There's no doubt that cornerback was an issue for the Steelers last season. While they survived, the question is can they survive this year too? Marcus Peters will be an immediate upgrade in their secondary.

23. Lions- Danny Shelton, DT, Washington

Bret: Needless to say, the Lions DT position could look drastically different in 2015 than 2014. Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley, C.J. Mosley and Andre Fluellen are all set to be free agents and Shelton would keep the Lions defensive line elite, even if they retain some of their own.

24. Cardinals- Shaq Thompson, OLB, Washington

Josh: The Cardinals would consider an inside linebacker here, but Shaq Thompson is too good to pass up at this point in the draft.

25. Panthers- Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami

Bret: Cam Newton got beat up more than a 16-year old bed-wetter with a higher point than Alfalfa and thicker frames than Steve Urkel. Flowers will look out for the former Heisman trophy winner.

26. Ravens- Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota

Josh: While Owen Daniels was a pretty good safety blanket for Joe Flacco last season, Maxx Williams could be a true versatile playmaker in the Ravens offense.

27. Cowboys- Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami (OH)

Bret: Rollins was the 2014 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, and while awards obviously don't tell the whole story, this award validates Rollins' ability.

28. Broncos- Benardrick McKinney, ILB, Mississippi State

Josh: This pick assumes that the Broncos bring back Demaryius Thomas. Eric Kendricks would also be a good fit here, however, McKinney would fit the style of the Broncos the best.

29. Colts- Jordan Phillips, DT, Oklahoma

Bret: The Colts must get stronger on the defensive line to enable them to have more success as a team. Andrew Luck will have his unit performing, but it's time for the defense to hold on their end. Phillips provides them with much needed size at 6-5, 334 pounds.

30. Packers- Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA

Josh: With questions as to what the Packers want to do at inside linebacker, Kendricks would fill a need and would be a day one starter for the Packers.

31. Seahawks- Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma

Bret: I believe the Seahawks culture would suite Green-Beckham and with Paul Richardson's torn ACL, the Seahawks fill their biggest position of need.

32. Patriots- Devin Funchess, WR, Michigan

Josh: While the Patriots aren't known, and most likely will not, to take a wide receiver round one, this could finally be the year that they draft a new toy for Tom Brady. At 6-5, 235, Funchess would provide the Patriots with an almost Gronk-like mismatch for defenses. Funchess has the size that Belichick prefers.
