Today marked the first day of NFL free agency, and what a crazy day it has been. Let's just touch on some of the major signings and trades of the day.
Signing:
The Colts signed RB Frank Gore to a 3 year deal worth $12 million. ($7.5 million guaranteed)
Trade:
The Eagles traded a 2015 5th round pick, a 2016 2nd round pick, and QB Nick Foles to the Rams in exchange for QB Sam Bradford and 4th round pick.
*The Eagles get the Rams' 2016 3rd round pick if Bradford does not play at all. They will receive the Rams' 2016 4th round pick if Bradford plays less than 50% of snaps.
Signing:
Eagles signed CB Byron Maxwell to a 6 year, $63 million deal. ($25 million guaranteed)
Trade:
The Eagles officially traded RB LeSean McCoy to the Bills for LB Kiko Alonso.
Signing:
The 49ers signed WR Torrey Smith to a 5 year, $40 million deal. ($22 million guaranteed)
Trade:
The Seahawks traded C Max Unger and their 2015 1st round pick to the Saints in exchange for TE Jimmy Graham and a 4th round pick.
Signing:
The Jaguars signed TE Julius Thomas to a 5 year deal at around $9 million per year.
Signing:
The Cardinals signed G Mike Iupati to a 5 year, $40 million deal. ($22.5 million guaranteed)
Trade:
The Lions traded their 4th and 5th round picks to the Ravens in exchange for DT Haloti Ngata and a 7th round pick.
